This weekend saw the England U15 and U17 Championships take place at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham with success for a number of athletes from the region.

Athletics Northern Ireland, has announced that Ed Mourbey (Chesterfield & District AC), is among six competitors who have been selected to represent Northern Ireland in the 3rd Commonwealth Youth Games to be held in Poona, India on 12-18 October, 2008.

Mark Powell (OWLS AC) and Carolyn Hay (Redhill RR) were crowned the East Midlands Half Marathon Champions at the first East Midlands Half Marathon Championship on Sunday.
