This new initiative of the South West competing in collaboration with the MCAA has gone very well. The South West Indoor Championships attracted more than 180 entries and there were several good performances.

England Athletics are delighted to announce the nominated athletes fot the Extra round of SportsAid funding. SportsAid is the charity for sports people, helping the next generation of young British sportsmen and women to succeed.

24.Feb.10 South Shields Harriers and Athletics Club gain ClubMark
South Shields Harriers and Athletics Club were presented their Clubmark Certificate by Local CCSO Emma Williams. Obtaining their Clubmark will help the club to continue in its development.

Kent Athletics Network and Sussex Athletics Networks each supported a free Coach and Athlete Development Day on the weekend of 20th-21st February.

23.Feb.10 England team take top honours at Celtic Cup U20 international
Sunday 21st February saw a fantastic competition once again at the Celtic Indoor Cup and U20 International event held in Cardiff. The U20 England team retained their title and set a number of meeting records and 5 Personal Bests.
