Lea Valley McCain Athletics Network held its first Disability Workshop this week, which was a great success. The event was attended by a broad spread of interested coaches, team managers and officials hailing from all 4 member clubs and also a LVAC volunteer, who all wanted to find out more about disability athletics.

Winter training sessions will be held at Lee Valley Athletics Centre for all one-lap hurdlers under the guidance of Lloyd Cowan, Brian Hopkins and various guest coaches. Athletes of all standards and from any region are welcome to attend.

24.Aug.10 Bedfordshire coaches benefit from inspiring speakers
A number of coaches from across Bedfordshire have benefited from two inspiring speakers that visited the county this August. Renowned Olympic Coach Lloyd Cowan spent an evening at the Bedford International Stadium with coaches from across the county, and Nick Anderson travelled over to St Neots.

09.Aug.10 High Jump Flying Coach visit inspires coaches
Norma Harris – a Hertfordshire County McCain Athletics Network coach based in Stevenage – paid a flying visit to Parliament Hill Fields Athletics Track (home of Highgate Harriers) on the evening of Friday 30th July. The visit was funded by England Athletics in association with the North London McCain Athletics Network and covered the Fundamentals of High Jump.
