The Armada Athletics Network ran a “Question of Sport” type evening with the subject being the rules of the sport. Unfortunately Sue Barker couldn’t make it so the quizmasters were Keith Reed and Paul Ross who are both National officials.

24.Jan.12 Road Race Adjudicators needed
To support the important work of race organisers, to help them to improve the standard of road races across England and ensure that they are being held in compliance of licensing conditions from 1 April 2012 Event Adjudicators will be needed for all licensed road and multi-terrain races.

14.Jan.12 EDM Play Day and disability officiating training 19th Feb
Precision Athletics are running the first of their popular "Play Days" in 2012 next month. Officials can get to grips with EDM equipment in an informal setting. This year there will also be a limited number of spaces for practical disability officiating training (this part now full).

13.Jan.12 Young people to benefit from Workforce Credit Scheme
A vital part of the workforce that can introduce and sustain the involvement of children and young people in sport in both a school and community setting consists of qualified coaches, officials and leaders. Financial support is now available to administer a Coaching, Officiating and Leadership Workforce Credit Scheme.
