England Athletics is very pleased to announce details of its three major coaching conferences for 2011. Marking “300 days to go” until the start of London 2012, the conferences will aim to inspire coaches at a local level to develop the next generation of Olympic & Paralympic hopefuls.

England Athletics are pleased to announce the next 3 events in the Masterclass coaching series. Irving ‘Boo’ Schexnayder is regarded as one of the world’s premier field event coaches and will be holding three free triple jump masterclasses across the country.

England Athletics is once again holding three major coaching conferences which cover the whole country - one in each of the north, midlands and south. This year the focus of each is slightly different and is based on input from coaches in each area into what content they would like to see.

25.Jul.11 Run England Workshop to be held in York
The North Yorkshire McCain Athletics Network will be running a Run England workshop on Tuesday 6th September at David Lloyd Gym in York, from 7 to 9pm. The evening will be delivered by Richard Smith, who currently runs numerous groups within York, and tutors on the LIRF & CIRF Courses.

25.Jul.11 Chesterfield gets cash for coaching
Chesterfield & District Athletics Club has made a successful bid for £1,000.00 from the Cash4Clubs scheme, which will enable the club to pay for four volunteers to attend Coaching Assistant courses, and three more volunteers to attend Coach courses.

25.Jul.11 A special day for young athletes, coaches and staff
Very early in the morning a group of young athletes, coaches and staff met at the railway station in Newcastle for what was to be a very special day - they were heading to London to have a special visit to the Olympic Park.
