  • 29.Sep.10 First North West regional endurance workshop this weekend

    There are just a few days left to book onto the first North West regional endurance workshop of the season.  The regional endurance coaching workshop programme promises to deliver a wealth of practical coach education and most importantly an opportunity for like minded coaches to get together and share experiences and knowledge.

  • 28.Sep.10 Commonwealth Games opening ceremony protocol announced

    Commonwealth Games Federation President, Michael Fennell, has announced the protocol arrangements for the Opening Ceremony of the XIX Commonwealth Games on October 3, 2010.  For the first time in the history of the Games the athletes will march into the stadium during the opening segment of the ceremony after which they will be seated to enjoy the ceremony.

    South West region are pleased to announce a day of practical coaching workshops  covering a choice of both technical and development areas – open to coaches at any level or experience and from any part of the country.

  • 28.Sep.10 Cheshire Athletics Network host their first event

    Cheshire Athletics Network hosted their first event of many as a network last week, which involved 40 members of various clubs.  The aim of the event was not only to officially launch the network but to make members of the clubs involved aware of how they could benefit from the partnership work which will be taking place.

    GreaterSport are organising a Leadership in Running Fitness (LiRF) course at Radclyffe Athletics Centre, Hunt Lane, Oldham which is open to anyone in Greater Manchester aged 18 or over who wants to set up a Run in England beginners' running group.

  • 26.Sep.10 Commonwealth Games England team all set to move into Games Village

    The Commonwealth Games England Team will move into the Commonwealth Games Village in Delhi as from today.  A group of around 20 support team staff will be the first occupants of the England accommodation overnight to ensure that conditions continue to be on track for first 48 athletes to move in on Monday.
