England athletes had a successful day at the 34th International Snowdon Fell Race; all our representative male athletes made the top 6 and the women swept the board with a 1,2,3. England retained both team titles.

Colin Gostelow, who died on July 1st 2009 aged just 66, was known to many in the word of athletics. He tirelessly worked at local club level with Fleet & Crookham AC in Hampshire but also was key in the higher level of athletics at the South East Athletics Association, BARR and The London Marathon.

City of Stoke AC’s Ben Williams who won a Commonwealth Youth silver medal in India last October went one better on Sunday to win the World Youth Triple Jump title at Bressanone in the Italian Tyrol.
