England Athletics is greatly saddened to hear of the death of Mel Batty. Mel made a huge contribution to the sport as both an athlete and a coach, and his personality gained him many friends across the sport.

23.Aug.11 British women take 1-2-3 at 50km trophy
Emma Gooderham led the British girls home in a new personal best time of 3hrs 17mins 30sec, winning the World Trophy final from English team colleague Susan Harrison who was 2nd, and English born athlete Joanna Zakrewski.

23.Aug.11 Yorkshire and Suffolk officials get opportunity to learn traffic management
England Athletics are holding a 1 day traffic management course for officials on 23rd October in North Yorkshire and 3rd September in Suffolk. The course is open to Event Organisers and Event Marshalls both in the commercial and voluntary sectors involved with Cross Country and Road Races.

22.Aug.11 1500m Steeplechase Development Races in Kent
Two 1500m steeplechase development races will be held on 3rd September 2011 as part of the Julie Rose Track and Field Games 2011.

18.Aug.11 Team announced for Dublin 10 Mile race
England Athletics are pleased to announce the team for the Dublin 10 Miler. This 10 Mile event hosts a Home Countries International where England take on Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
