25.Oct.10 Network launch raises the bar
The Leicestershire Vision 2020 McCain Athletics Network, a group of local athletic and running clubs from across the county, officially launched the organisation over the weekend with a series of quality, short and furiously fast cross country races held at the Bosworth Battlefield Centre which will be the site of the 2011 County Cross Country Championships.

24.Oct.10 “10 out of 10” for Lea Valley Network
More than 130 youngsters between school years four to nine from the Lea Valley Network Clubs recent ly took part in the first of three ‘10 out of 10’ Network competitions. The event also saw over 60 young volunteers from the clubs offering their services for roles ranging from team managers and officials, to announcer and catering.

22.Oct.10 Last chance to book tickets for Hall of Fame and Volunteer Awards
Saturday 30 October will see some of the biggest names in athletics and the efforts of those volunteers, upon whose work our sport is built, honoured together at the England Athletics Awards Night including the Hall of Fame and National Volunteer Awards ceremonies. Members of the Commonwealth Games England Athletics team will also be present.

England Athletics Volunteer Awards recognise the work of clubs, volunteers, officials and coaches, as well as the areas of partnership and disability athletics. We are pleased that we are now able to announce the names of all the Regional Awards winners for the South West Region.

We are pleased that we are now able to announce the names of all the Regional Awards winners for the London Region. The 2010 England Athletics National Awards programme sees volunteers recognised for their contributions in supporting the development of the sport.
