Andy Frost warmed up for the NatWest Island Games by attending a Flying Coach visit in Portsmouth last night. He met up with Mick Jones who was visiting City of Portsmouth A.C. to support the club coaches and their athletes with their technique at an England Athletics organized visit.

The Local Coach Development Programme (LCDP) aims to raise standards in coaching and therefore improve the performance of our athletes. As the summer season races towards us, coaches have been reflecting on how they have benefitted from being part of the LCDP.

Over 40 road runners from Maidstone Harriers recently benefited from a nutrition workshop by sports scientist Matt Cole - the event was arranged by the Kent McCain Athletics Network for the Harriers, who are one of the network focus clubs.
14.Jun.11 Athletics 365 takes off in Kent thanks to Network support

Funding secured by the Kent Athletics Network (KAN) has enabled over 450 young people from all over Kent to take part in introduction to athletics courses. The network successfully applied for over £10k of Sport Unlimited Funding.
