  • 29.Oct.10 East Midlands Region Volunteer Awards announced

    England Athletics Volunteer Awards recognise the work of clubs, volunteers, officials and coaches, as well as the areas of partnership and disability athletics.  We are pleased that we are now able to announce the names of all the Regional Awards winners for the East Midlands Region.

    If you live near Lincoln here's your opportunity as a coach or athlete of any endurance event or ability to ask some of those pressing questions you may have about training programmes, what to do pre, during and post competition/races, tips and techniques, etc. and get them answered by Dave Sunderland.

  • 25.Oct.10 Network launch raises the bar

    The Leicestershire Vision 2020 McCain Athletics Network, a group of local athletic and running clubs from across the county, officially launched the organisation over the weekend with a series of quality, short and furiously fast cross country races held at the Bosworth Battlefield Centre which will be the site of the 2011 County Cross Country Championships.

  • 22.Oct.10 High Jump session helps LCDP programme take off

    England Athletics held its first joint NCDP and LCDP High Jump coach development session at the Solihull High Jump groups training camp, which was led by National Coach Mentors for the high jump, Graham Ravenscroft and Denis Doyle.

  • 20.Oct.10 David Hemery to lead mentoring workshop

    David Hemery, former Olympic Gold Medalist, will be leading a workshop on Mentoring Athletics Coaches, on the evening of 8th December in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

  • 18.Oct.10 Leics Networks' first collaborative event a great success

    The two McCain Athletics Networks in Leicestershire have worked together to set up the first Leicestershire & Rutland County Association Sportshall League. The Leicester City Network and the Leicestershire County Network held the first of three Sportshall League matches on 9th October.
