    This weekend we are looking forward to our National U23 and U20 championships.  The U20 match doubles as the trials for the World Junior Championships to be held next month in Canada and the U23s will be using the event as vital preparation for next week’s European Trials and UK Championships as well as our National Senior championships on 17-18th July.

    After the success of the first Commonwealth championships in Cumbria in September 2009, we are pleased to announce the sanctioning of the second Commonwealth Championship Ultra distance/Mountain Running to be held in either 2011 or 2013.

  • 14.Jun.10 New partnership blazes the trail for better fitness

    England Athletics and the Forestry Commission have launched a new partnership to help people get fitter and gain a greater appreciation of the English countryside.  The partnership will encourage all ages and abilities to boost their fitness by using new running trails created in woodlands and forests, and the scheme will be supported by England Athletics' mass participation, running programme entitled Run in England.

  • 09.Jun.10 Transitioning Juniors to Seniors - Endurance workshop

    Nick Anderson and Bud Baldaro are holding an An England Athletics Endurance Coaches Workshop with input from Andy Vernon and Hannah England.  Nick and Bud will lead a presentation and discussion on the transitioning of junior athletes into competitive seniors.

  • Colin Jackson at Leics Schools

    08.Jun.10 Colin Jackson inspires Leicester primary students

    Colin Jackson was in Leicester on Monday  to help a group of Leicester City Primary Schools get involved in physical activity.  In total over 400 primary school children came down to take part in a variety of fun and exciting running games, which culminated in a 2 lap fun run in preparation for the 2k Great Run which will take place in June.
