The Launch Event for the South West London Athletics Network was held at St Mary’s University College in Twickenham. Charlotte Purdue, a current student at St Mary’s University College, spoke about the positive influence that her own athletics club has had on her career so far.

England Athletics is delighted to announce a new project, supported by the London Mayor's Office, to help develop the sport of athletics in the inner London Boroughs. This project aims to take the sport to the parts of our capital where there is currently little or no provision. It aims to increase participation, widen access and unearth raw talent.

As part of its work to build a legacy ready for the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games the Mayor’s Skills Legacy is offering subsidies for coaching courses for people involved in volunteering in clubs in London.

26.Oct.10 Road Runners - planning to progress?
A road running workshop with two top coaches is to be held ia the Julie Rose stadium in Ashford shortly. The workshop is entitled "Planning to progress to the next level", is free of charge and available to all coaches, running group leaders and interested athletes.
