30.May.12 Basingstoke hosts top athletics event thanks to track extension

Down Grange track in Basingstoke hosted its first BAL competition marking the completion of work to enhance the outdoor sports complex. For the first time since the athletics track was extended from six lanes to eight, athletes from Basingstoke and Mid Hants AC were able to compete in the national league event on home soil.
15.May.12 Sussex Athletics Network implementing Athletics 365 programme

Since the 2010 pilot a number of athletics clubs in teh Sussex Atheltics Network have implemented the Athletics 365 programme to complement their weekly club coaching sessions. For several of these clubs Athletics 365 now provides the building blocks of introductory athletics coaching for young athletes.
08.May.12 Record Breakers at the VISA London Disability Athletics Challenge

The Olympic Stadium saw more action following on from the successful BUCS championships. This time it was the turn of the ‘VISA London Disability Athletics Challenge’ which also acted as the test event for the Paralympics Games, 29 Aug - 9 Sept.
02.May.12 PB smashed after Deaf UK champs inspiration

Inspired by meeting Deaf GB Hammer throwers Beth Sewell and Bethan Lishman at the Stoke Open, Iain Botting who was competing for his club Windsor, Slough, Eton and Hounslow in the National Junior League smashed his PB.
