The two McCain Athletics Networks in Leicestershire have worked together to set up the first Leicestershire & Rutland County Association Sportshall League. The Leicester City Network and the Leicestershire County Network held the first of three Sportshall League matches on 9th October.

18.Oct.10 Nike ERRA National Six and Four stage road relays at Sutton Coldfield
Bedford and Aldershot, Farnham and District ran out winners of the Nike ERRA National Six and Four stage road relays at Sutton Coldfield. The young athlete events saw more success for AFD with Tonbridge also to the fore.

England Athletics are looking to develop athletics in Sheffield by using the newly designed Athletics PopUpArena to help give athletes of all ages and ability the chance to experience competing at a venue which can mirror the big competition venues on a smaller scale.

12.Oct.10 Spectacular medal haul for England relay teams
England's relay teams took home a quartet of medals today on the last day of the track and field events in the stadium. Both 100m teams won gold in gripping races and the men's and women's 400m relay teams both took bronze. Pole vaulter Kate Dennison also ended her Games with a Bronze.
