Long jumper Chris Tomlinson plans to compete at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi in October, reports Sky Sports.

Every February the Hammer Circle have a winter handicap competition for teams of up to 4 throwers compete using lighter than normal implements, with scoring based on a handicap system.

Despite the inclement conditions, there was a good turn out for the England Athletics indoor Combined Events championships. The organisers need not have worried that the conditions outside would affect performances indoors; 90% of athletes entered registered on the first day.
