Following the successes of last year, the Avon Sportshall teams made a clean sweep of the SWest Regional finals last weekend at Torbay, winning all four team events to represent the South West at the Aviva National Finals in Birmingham on 3rd April 2011.

East Cornwall Harriers are forging ahead with their links to the primary schools in the local area. They have organised a massive series of cross country events on a monthly basis in which 27 primary schools take part.

After last year’s event was one of many championships to fall victim to the vagaries of the weather, it was a relief to all concerned that the 2011 South West Cross Country Championships were staged in pleasant conditions at Bicton College at Exmouth in the heart of Devon on Sunday.
