10.Dec.11 Avon Network Coach and Athlete development day
The third Avon Network Coach and Athlete development day of the year took place recently at the University of Bath’s first rate indoor facilities, and focussed on Pole Vault for Beginners, Speed, Javelin and Shot, and Lifting for Beginners and Improvers.

08.Dec.11 Network Coaches' Forum cascades knowledge and techniques
The Duchy Athletics Network Coaches’ Forum held at Truro Prep School offered the chance for coaches to get some hands on experience of an ‘own body weight strength and conditioning’ session and a ‘plyometrics’ training workshop.

With the popularity, both locally and nationally, of the Bristol and Bath Half Marathons increasing each year, it seemed a good idea for TeamBathAC and the Avon Athletics Network to collaborate on a pilot half Marathon Training day in Bath on Sunday 20th Nov 2011.

22.Nov.11 Sprints Coaching for Athletes with Cerebral Palsy
Promoted by the Avon Athletics Network, a workshop entitled "Sprints Coaching for Athletes with Cerebral Palsy" is open to all coaches and teachers interested in sprints training and racing. It is also open to athletes aged 11+ years and classifications T35-T38 with their coach.

18.Nov.11 Duchy Athletics Network recognised at the 2011 Cornwall Sports Awards
The hard work of two Duchy Athletics Network clubs and two of its members was recognised at the 2011 Cornwall Sports Awards, with over 200 attendees from across Cornwall; including special guest Team GB athlete Mark Lewarne.
