Another successful weekend at the recent London Mini Marathon saw the South West pick up both good individual and team results writes Sonya Ellis - SW Team Manager. The senior boys' race saw the highest results with Tom Curr finishing 3rd and the team winning overall.

28.Apr.10 Avon Athletics Network /Weston super Mare Junior AC visit to Bath University
In common with many clubs in the country, flourishing Weston-super-Mare Junior AC do not have a specific athletics facility as their home base. The Avon Athletics Network was very pleased to help organise and support their idea of moving their normal Saturday morning training session to the first class facility at the University of Bath.

The members of the South West Team for the London Mini Marathon have now been selected and are published here. Selection emails will be going out over the next 24 hours to those selected.

26.Feb.10 2010 South West Indoor Championships
This new initiative of the South West competing in collaboration with the MCAA has gone very well. The South West Indoor Championships attracted more than 180 entries and there were several good performances.

Athletes who are considering applying to join the SW team for the Virgin London Mini Marathon this year are reminded that we will be taking applications for consideration and will be making selections after the SW Schools Cross Country.
