    30.Aug.12 Keynote for South Area Coaching Conference Announced

    England Athletics is delighted to announce that Matthew Syed will open the 2012 South Area Coaching Conference with his Keynote: The Growth Mindset and the Science of Motivation. Matthew Syed is a British journalist, broadcaster and author of Bounce, a book described as “a must-read for anyone interested in the science of success, and the mindset and culture that support it”.

    29.Aug.12 London Athletics Run! Inclusive and Active 2 Case Study

    Run! is an innovative project designed to increase awareness and participation of disability athletics, improving the health of inactive Londoners of all ages and abilities. The project was put in place to address the participation gaps in the inner London boroughs and areas of high deprivation. Run! Activators are meeting the needs of the local community and overcoming barriers including poor access to the sport, limited disabled athletics facilities and traditional clubs negative perception of disabled participants.

    During July and August a number of Ealing Southall and Middlesex (ESM) younger athletes have played key roles in working with Active Ealing, the Borough of Ealing’s sports development team, to run three Startrack weeks at Perivale Park Athletics track.
