The event was attended by a total of 24 people
seven coaches, eleven Athletes, and six parents attended the workshop, plus John, Tony, Ben Noad & Peter Kerr from SLAN as facilitators.

28.Nov.11 Orion Centenary Celebrations
Past and present members of Orion Harriers celebrated the club’s centenary at the West Essex Golf Club on Saturday night. Formed in Hackney in 1911 as a cross country club Orion formed a female section in 1986 and a Junior section in the 1990s. The club currently has over 300 senior members and around the same number of juniors. Training is in Epping Forest and at Walthamstow track. -
23.Nov.11 World Marathon Challenge comes to London
The world marathon challenge came to North London with the event being at Lee Valley for the 5th year. The challenging simultaneous relay race in support of Save the Children, is for 11-13 year olds who will race around a track in teams of 31. Each child will run a 200m stretch six or seven times each, passing a baton to their team-mates.

23.Nov.11 London Youth Games Cross Country Championships
There were some exciting finishes and high quality races at the London Youth Games cross country championships held on a mild morning at Parliament Hill. Over 500 youngsters represented their London boroughs in a successful renewal of these races which were re-introduced into London Youth Games in 2010.

The Lea Valley Athletic Network (LVAN) held its second annual disability championships recently. 160 competitors from 16 different schools, clubs and colleges took part; double the entry of last year.
