Sprints coaches have enjoyed a weekend event held with Loren Seagrave, speed technical advisor to the IAAF, focussing on sprint biomenchanics as well as other topics. And they have been left enthused by all that they have seen and heard.

England Athletics is conducting a series of surveys to find out the views of people within the sport. Surveys for athletes, club volunteers and coaches went live at the end of January. The Officials' survey is now live too. Please give your views to help us to improve our current services and shape the sport’s vision for beyond 2012.

More than 20 coaches (including 14 from the NCDP) attended the first high Jump Masterclass, which was held at the Hyatt Hotel, Birmingham and led by the Lee Valley Centre's Performance Director, Dan Pfaff.

Spaces are still available for the Level 2 Officials' course to be held in Eton on 21st March 2010. Applications need to be sent in by Friday 26th February.

23.Feb.10 Selection process for IAU 50km Trophy Final now open
Athletes who wish their names and relevant performances to go forward for consideration for selection should forward details to Norman Wilson. The Boddington 50km English Ultra Championship road race to be held on Saturday 19th June 2010 is the official England trial.
