30.May.11 Notts host Aviva / ESAA Cross Country Championships 2011
Some eight planning meetings, and six site meetings took place to ensure the Aviva / ESAA Cross Country Championship was the best and safest place to race. The six races at Wollaton Park proved exciting, well contested on a fast dry course, with three Nottinghamshire Athletes featuring in the top twenty places.

England Athletics are delighted to announce two of our Marathon teams for international opportunities later this year. Teams have been selected for the Toronto Waterfront Marathon and the H. C. Andersen Marathon in Denmark.

26.May.11 Successful Endurance Flying Coach visit at Harrogate Harriers & AC
Harrogate Harriers & AC, a member of the North Yorkshire McCain Athletics Network, hosted an Endurance Flying coach session, which 12 coaches attended.

19.May.11 Phil Wicks first Briton in Bristol 10k
Belgrave Harriers enjoyed further success on the road when finishing as the first team home in the Bristol 10k. To add the celebrations London’s own Phil Wick was the first Britain home in the race finishing 4th. It's the eighth time the Belgrave have placed in this championship - but their only previous win was at Bourton-on-the-Water in 2003.
In the women's race Getenesh Tamirat was 5th in 33:32 and Sam Amend 19th in 36:58.
