Age group titles up for grabs

This weekend sees our last major track and field championship of the summer with the England Athletics Under 17 and Under 15 championships (which includes our Disablity Age Group championships) taking place in Bedford. There have been over 1300 entries from over 1000 athletes so it should be a busy and competitive two days.

Club Matters - August 2017 update

Club Matters is Sport England's one stop shop for sports clubs. Club Matters provides free, convenient and practical resources to help you develop and run a sustainable club. This month we let you know about tools to help clubs with their legal structure, share your stories for free publicity, and being wary of online scams and fraud.

Coaching Masterclass: Jeremy Fischer

Jeremy Fischer is Director and Head Coach of the USATF Residence program at Chula Vista. The Masterclass is aimed at coaches and will include Jeremy's journey from athlete to coach, Jeremy's key coaching philosophy, content of his training sessions and a QA session.

Bob Smith - Tribute service

A Tribute Service for Bob Smith will be held at 2pm on Saturday 2nd September 2017, at Brunel University London (Indoor Training Area), Kingston Lane, Uxbridge, Middlesex, UB8 3PH.

Volunteer Spotlight - Mike Burrell

As a part of Team Spirit we're highlighting the work of some of our amazing volunteers, one of these volunteers celebrated a special birthday recently, Mike Burrell from Bicester Athletics Club. Mike has been coaching athletes since 1961; wanting to give something back to the sport that he loved. He's also qualified as a Field judge and has spent time as the Surrey County Coaching Secretary.

Secure up to £25k funding for your community project

The Aviva Community Fund launches on 12 September and gives community projects, including those working in sport and recreation, the chance to win funding that will change lives. The Fund is suported by the Sport and Recreation Alliance who are specifically focusing on grassroots sport and recreation because that is the area which needs most support to get the nation active.

Digital Pilot opportunity for development agency

England Athletics require a digital development agency to deliver a fit for purpose Officials' management and deployment system for an initial pilot project. The successful agency should challenge our thinking and ensure that the developed system is customer-focussed, delivering an optimised user journey for our Officials (volunteers).
