Jog Leaders Training Course
Lee Valley Athletics Centre in Edmonton, working in partnership with England Athletics, will be hosting the first Jog Leaders course on July 15. This is a key element in rolling out the new England Athletics programme which seeks to develop the sport in England along the lines of what the Jogscotland project has successfully delivered North of the border. The course, lasting the full day, will be modelled closely around the Scottish model, for which the objectives and content are set out on the attached website link.

A small number of free places can be offered to jog leaders who can confirm how they will use the course to develop running within the Lee Valley Park area. The course fee for other delegates will be at a subsidised rate of £50 including all course materials.
The attached website link shows how to get to Lee Valley Athletics Centre.

FITNESS IN RUNNING & WALKING LEADERSHIP COURSES
England Athletics East is committed to supporting the development of coaching and leadership within running clubs.
We can organise courses for your running club at your request (although it can prove better for you to work in partnership with another club or two to ensure we get enough people to take part)
The UKA Fitness In Running & Walking Course is an 8 hour day long course that provides participants with some basic technical and generic leadership skills that can then be used on a club training evening.
The course can help to provide more capacity in your club to manage the growing membership, especially as many running clubs are developing successful junior sections.
You will require 12 people to ensure the course can run and we can provide additional tutors should your course be over subscribed.
