Road Race Organisers' Seminar - Saturday 4th October

ADVANCE NOTICE

England Athletics East is pleased to announce that it will host a Road Race Organisers' Seminar on Saturday 4th October at the Cambridge Golf & Conference Centre, near Huntingdon.

The event will comprise interactive workshops designed to provide participants with the latest vital information to organise a successful and safe road race.

Workshop Leaders will share their hard-earned experience of delivering top quality road races, and all participants will have the opportunity to share their own tips and knowledge with other race organisers.

The provisional schedule is:

10:00-10:15 Introduction & Seminar objectives
10:15-11:15 Workshops
11:15-11:30 coffee
11:30-12:30 Workshops

12:30-14:00 Keynote speech & lunch

14:00-15:00 Workshops
15:00-15:30 Wrap-up & Q&As

15:30 close

Workshops will run in parallel throughout the day to allow for small interactive groups (ie each workshop will run 3 times)and will address the following themes:

1. Road Race best practice - promotion, organisation & contingency planning

2. Risk Assessment incl. BARR food hygiene update

3. Permits, scrutineering, officiating
