Road Running Development

The East region is taking an active role in developing road running, having appointed a Road Running Development Coordinator (Brian Corbett) and is fortunate to have a vibrant and experienced Road Running Project Group to help guide activities.

The Road Running agenda is particularly important to us given the sheer number of people participating at a variety of levels and also in terms of the role Road Running plays in contributing towards improving the quality of life across our region.

There are some exciting developments taking shape nationally that will help us to move forward with developing Road Running.

This section provides details of the East Regional Road Running Development Plan together with a number of other relevant downloadable resources. A copy of our draft Road Running Plan can be accessed at the bottom of this page and we welcome comments on the plan.

The Regional Road Running project group met for the first time on 30th January 2007 and involved a variety of people and bodies key to Road Running provision in the East.

The group comprises representatives of the 6 eastern counties and people involved in race organisation. The project group membership is currently:
