About Us

East Region
England Athletics East develops and promotes Athletics in the East of England covering the counties of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Herts, Norfolk & Suffolk

Our aim is to:

  • increase and sustain participation and performance levels across every event and at every age group

We will do this by

  • building the capacity of the athletics infrastructure, investing through 6 county athletics development groups and by working with coaches, clubs, schools and officials

  • improving the profile of athletics through coordinated communication with the purpose of encouraging more people to participate in athletics at the community level

  • building a best practice evidence base that shows people how powerful athletics is as both a sport and tool upon other agendas

  • working to improve the quality and quantity of facilities available to athletes and coaches

Our Regional Plan

"Building Partnerships:Improving Performance" sets out the strategic framework for developing athletics in the East Of England.
