England Athletics East Midlands are pleased to be able to offer coaching scholarships as of April 1st this year.
Coaches from within the East Midlands will be able to apply for a scholarship of up to £500.00 to assist with their own development and will focus on areas such as mentoring support, expenses for attending coaching conferences both in the UK and abroad, support with UKA level 3 and 4 courses and financial support towards specialist coaching equipment such as performance analysis software or equipment.
The exciting development has been designed to assist the financial needs of level 2 and above athletics coaches and has been developed through the regional coaches group which consists of a number of highly qualified and experienced coaches form across the East Midlands.
Regional Coach Mentor Alan Richardson is delighted that the funding has been made available and said ‘this will hopefully benefit a large number of coaches from right across the East Midlands and should re-enforce one of our main priorities of supporting and developing high quality coaches to raise performance levels across the region.’
