Join In

Does your club need an extra pair of hands on a club night or help out at your local league competition? Join In can help!  Join In helps community sports clubs and groups to find more volunteers and supporters in their local area.

We think that local sports clubs are the heart of our communities – but we know that local sport doesn’t just happen. It takes teams of brilliant, generous people to share their time and skills, and give something back. Together, you help to make our communities happier, healthier and more active places to live. And Join In wants to spread that message.

You can help by sharing this great video of our Athens 2004 4x100m relay team (Jason Gardener, Darren Campbell, Marlon Devonish, and Mark Lewis-Francis) reunited in the quest for volunteers, plus see what sprinter Christian Malcolm has to say how your clubs can get help.

Right now, 7 out of 10 sports clubs need more volunteers. As an official Games legacy charity Join In want to change that. Their aim is to help you find more supporters and helpers in your neighbourhood, whenever you need them.

Thousands of local sports clubs and groups have already added their page on Join In. Here are just a few reasons why:

  • More people
It’s the big one. Visitors to the Join In website search by postcode for clubs in their area that need a hand. Don’t miss out on reaching potential volunteers near you.
  • Free
It is completely free for all clubs and groups to be part of Join In.
  • It’s easy
We know you’re busy; that’s why it’s quick and simple to create a club page. And you can edit your details any time you like.
  • PR magic
Join In run national campaigns year round and we want as many of our clubs to benefit from our marketing, PR and comms as possible.
  • No hassle
The aim of Join In is to support local sports clubs and groups – so your inbox won't be filled with unwanted emails and they will only be in touch when they have useful information.
  • Practical support
Local Leaders are the face of Join In on the ground. If you want to attract new volunteers – for example, by hosting a special event – or simply want to find out more about potential volunteers in your area, they’d love to hear from you.  Join In will also be adding lots more helpful information for clubs on their website, including tips on completing your club page and examples of clubs who have successfully found volunteers through the site.
  • Building for the future
